Fanny Mae Liver Shunt Fund This web site is
sponsored by Terri Shumsky, AKC Judge #3585, and owner of a
Yorkie (Fanny Mae) that died from a liver shunt in 1986. Her
guidance is "Liver Shunt Kills, don't buy a Yorkie without a
bile acid test." The original Fanny Mae Liver Shunt
Fund (FMLSF) was organized to help increase public awareness
about liver shunt. The fund also provides some financial
assistance to individuals that need help affording the life
saving surgery that is often needed.
