Education
Introduction
In this book we hope to provide several resources and links
to other areas where you can learn more about the Scottish
Terrier Education on any topic can take many turns as
one progresses and one is never really finished.
Information included in this section will be updated as new
material becomes available. Look for frequent changes as
the Web Technology gets feedback and we begin to develop other
ideas.
Has been added as a new Health and Education section of the STCA Website.
The initial content includes information on Cerebellar
Abiotrophy, but additional content is planned in the near
future. Either click on the Grand Central logo
or [Click Here]
to access Grand Central. You will be asked to
register with the site first, and then you will have access
to each section within Grand Central, e.g. CA
Central, Registry Central, etc.

"Can You Help Me Find a Scottie"
We think this is a very helpful article to pet owners looking to
purchase their first Scottie. The article was one of three finalists
for Best Article in a Single Breed Magazine in the 1999 Dog Writers
Association of America contest. This article and one of the other two
finalists that actually won the award first appeared in Great
Scots Magazine. The article appears here on the STCA Web
site by permission of the author, Carole Fry Owen, who is an STCA
member and a columnist for the AKC
Gazette. To check out this article, select the link in
the navigation bar to the left or... [Can

Regional Club Newsletters & The Clan
ConnectionYes,
the club newsletter that is published by many of our Regional Scottish Terrier Clubs
can be an important asset when trying to find out more about the breed.
The Regional Club Listing has contact information for all of the clubs
affiliated with the STCA.
Newsletter subscriptions are usually open to anyone interested in the breed
and are provided at a very nominal fee. They contain information on local
shows and other programs sponsored by the club. [Regional
Club List]
The Clan Connection is a regular column in
The Bagpiper
and it is now available here on the STCA Website. The
column contains a summary of recent news articles and
upcoming activities for each regional club. The Clan
Connection Web page is updated shortly after each issue of
the Bagpiper is printed.
