New STCA Handbook

The new STCA Handbook, winner of the Maxwell Award for "Best Club Yearbook for 2007" by the Dog Writers Association of America covers the years from 2002 to 2006.  The handbook covers the history of the STCA, but also contains articles on grooming and showing Scotties.  Like our Website, the cover features the artworks of Marion Krupp.  Use the on-line order form to order your own copy. "I think I want a Scottie, but don't know where to start?"
STCA Webmaster

The STCA Web site has lots of information about Scotties, but sometimes it can be a little difficult to know where to start ...  [More]

Pet owners, Scottie breeders and Rescue applicants all face different paths to their destination.  After learning what you need to know first, this set of articles will help put you on the road to finding your own Scottie.

If you are a newcomer interested in acquiring a Scottie puppy, think you might want to breed Scotties, or feel you would like to find a Rescue Scottie then this article is a good place to start.

Sweepstakes Observations

Interested in learning about the difference between a Sweepstakes show and a regular dog show?  [Click here] to find out.  This story about the 2005 STCA Sweepstakes held at the Lulu Temple in Oct. 2005 should help explain some of the differences.

On-line Scottie Pedigree Searches

Thanks to STCA Club member, Mary O'Neal, we recently upgraded and relocated her on-line Scottie Pedigree Search application to a new server location that is owned and operated by the STCA.  An easy to use link to this Scottish Terrier pedigree search page can be found in the margin on both the Health and the Education pages as well as the Events home page.

The new Pedigree Search application is part of the larger STCA web site, so it maintains the same look and feel of the whole site.

The new site now offers a couple of upgraded features such as a FAST search option.  The site has also been enhanced to address some data security issues, so we are asking that users register at the login page before actually using the site.

Regional STC Listing

We've compiled a new list of contacts for the Regional STCs around the country.  If you are trying to locate a club in your area this is the place to start your search. [More]
