ASTC IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
HAVE YOUR DOG’S DNA TESTED FOR PLL AND ENTER SEALYHEALTHGUARD

Everything is now up and running and you should get your dog tested. This is the procedure:

  1. Log onto the OFA website www.offa.org
  2. Click on OFA DNA tests
  3. Click on PLL test
  4. Fill out information & pay for the test kit by credit card
OFA will send you the kit. Take a cheek swab on your dog, send it back to them and they will send you a certificate stating the status of your dog (normal, carrier, or high risk) Register in SEALYHEALTHGUARD. After you have been granted access, go in and enter information on your dog, including the certificate # from OFA. Chuck Orange, Health Submissions Administrator, will give you provisional approval until he receives a copy of your OFA certificate. The American Sealyham Terrier Club welcomes new members both from the United States and around the world. We welcome applications from all who have an interest in the Sealyham Terrier. We are pleased that our membership includes both pet owners and show exhibitors. We have members who currently own Sealyham(s) and those who aspire to own them.

~ PLEASE READ before you send your application ~

**  VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:   *TWO* SPONSOR Letters/Emails are REQUIRED
and your application can not be processed without these .  **
(All applications (including those with Rescues) are required to submit two sponsors.)
It is the applicant's esponsibility to contact their sponsors to ensure they have sent or e-mailed their sponsor note.

** NOTE: If you only have one ASTC sponsor, you may submit a letter or e-mail from your vet in lieu of one of the ASTC sponsors.

(2) send application (with check-made out to ASTC)
to Judith Mugrauer-Meairs (address below)
(3) ask two friends who are members of the ASTC ** to e-mail/mail sponsorship letters to Judith Mugrauer-Meairs -- sleepingham@cox.net
