1932 Saint Fancier

The first selection from the Club Historian is the first Saint Fancier in its entirety. It is quite different from the Fanciers of today which can contain anywhere from 100 pages to over 200 pages.

The original Saint Fancier consisted of only 8 pages. It was an experiment. It was sent to all club members and to all St. Bernard owners whose names and addresses were on file at the Club headquarters, and to all persons interested in the breed who had written for information. The membership roster is listed on page 7. Subscription rate was $1.00 a year. Advertising rate was $1.50 per inch, minimum. The Editor was Leroy Fess (Coeur de Lion Kennels).
