Irish Water Spaniel Rescue Help Needed

paw4back.gif (1409 bytes)

Rescue is a work of the heart.  It is very costly in time, energy, expense, and occasional heart ache for the people involved. It is also filled with incredible joys.  If you think you can help in any way, whether assisting with your time, or if you have usable items for the use of rescue please contact your nearest geographical chair for the collection point and way to donate same. Our rescue collects items for future use and we appreciate all donations of items as well as donations of money to the Irish Water Spaniel Club of America Rescue Fund.

Ways to help:

  • Rescue Flyer - Please print out this flyer and send to shelters, humane societies and veterinarians in your state.  It would be great to get this information to as many shelters as we can.  Click here for a listing of shelters.  This listing is not part of the IWS Rescue page.  You will need to use the "back" function to return to the IWS Rescue page.
  • Transportation Needed:  The IWSCA Rescue Committee is in need of volunteers to transport rescued dogs.  Please contact the national coordinator or your local coordinator to volunteer.
  • Items needed:  Kennels, leashes, collars, bowls, beds and any other dog supplies.
  • Donations: If you would like to make a donation to the IWSCA Rescue Committee please contact the IWSCA treasurer, Judy Goonyep at FosPon@aol.com
  • Be a mentor to someone who has recently acquired a rescue or re-homed dog.
  • If you are a breeder, continue to stress the importance of socialization and manners/obedience classes.
