President's Message -

Breed Information Section:  Provides information about the Great Pyrenees breed and includes a series of educational articles. These official GPCA publications range from Breed-specific information, to How to buy a puppy, to Help with raising a Pyr, to information on Great Pyrenees as livestock guardian dogs.

Club Information Section:  Provides information the GPCA including board and committee information. Personal contacts for additional breed information and local breeder referral can be accessed from the list of representatives of Regional affiliated Great Pyrenees clubs. You will also find the club Constitution and the Code of Ethics which all members are expected to follow. There is a listing of upcoming Great Pyrenees specialty shows throughout the country.

Disaster Preparedness Section: Provides guidelines for evacuating your family and Pyr(s) due to household emergency, severe weather or environmental hazard; recommendations as to what to have packed and ready to go for each member of your family and your Pyr; what to keep on hand in your car; how to be ready in case you are stranded in your home.

Event Information Section: Contains information about upcoming and past events, including National and Regional Great Pyrenees specialty info, Canine Symposiums, etc...

Illustrated Standard Section:  Provides a visual display of the US Great Pyrenees standard.   Ordering information for a copy of the standard can be found on the initial Illustrated Standard page.

Health Committee Website:  This link takes you to our website that is completely devoted to the health of Great Pyrenees. There is a survey that you can complete about the health of your Pyr along with a wealth of other great information.

Reports Section:  Contains timely reports from our Secretary, President, Rescue Chairs, with more information to be added as it comes available.

Rescue Information Section:  Provides information on adopting a rescue dog and has a list of people to contact should you like more information on Great Pyrenees Rescue.  The list of contacts is based on region.   If you do not find a rescue contact in your area, please contact our GPCA National Rescue Coordinator.  You can find her information on the contact page. We also have an adoption application form, which is forwarded to a Rescue Coordinator in your area. Finally, we have information on Puppymills and why you should NOT get a dog from one...
