November 26, 2007 GPCA Board Teleconference 7 pm central time   Discussion on National Specialties Judy made a motion, second by Kerry: The GPCA will give the Host Club $1,500 up to one year in advance, with the written understanding that this would cover all GPCA required activities at a National. Such as: Board meetings, Annual Meeting, Committee Meetings, Historic Preservation, Judges Education, tables for sale items, and any other required activities that would be added in the future. Motion passed Jo Stubbs presented to the board the requirements that the Obedience/Performance committee would like to have for Agility titles. The BOD accepted the recommendations of the obedience committee that either a Novice Agility (NA) or a Novice Agility Preferred (NAP) title in addition to the CD would be required for a Pyr to be accepted into the obedience HOF . Motion passed Ellie presented to the board additions that she would like see printed in the guidelines for the DBM Motion passed The Domain name of GreatPyreneesRescue.org was offered to the GPCA This was discussed and given to Kerry and Kathy to look into. The BOD has given Dan the task of looking up domain names that would be available for GPCA. Marcy mentioned the guidelines and mission statement for Rescue. This was discussed and information was given for it to be looked into. Discussion on Lifetime membership, Marilyn Thell, Claire Leishman, Linda Weisser a.include in a mailing with something else being sent to membership b.voted on individually, within 3 months of nomination c.this will be done in a future mailing. This will be put off until Feb Christine mentioned that Kathleen Monje may be willing to take over the bulletin. Flo mentioned that a letter to the OFA needs to be sent on the new Health Committees requirements on Champions. The GPCA BOD has approved participation in the progam and that flo Laicher has been designated the contact person between the GPCA and OFA. Dan will send the letter to OFA Darrell mentioned that December 31, 2007 is the deadline for information to go into the next bulletin. Discussion on future items on the agenda for the board for after the holidays. Judy made a motion to adjourn the meeting second by Flo Meeting adjourned at 8 pm Submitted by the GPCA Board
