Election of officers – President - Marcy Bankus, nominated by Judy Brown Vice President - Judy Brown, nominated by Flo Laicher Secretary – Kathy Lee, nominated by Kerry Kern Woods Treasurer – Christine Palmer-Persen, nominated by Brenda Weiss Nominating Committee – Christine Palmer-Persen, Chair Members are Jan Waitz, Mike Falatach, Judy Cooper, Nancy Wood Taber, Betty Warmack, Standing Committee Chairs – AKC Delegate – Bob Brown Awards and Trophies - Christine Hodel, Laurie Gottschalk Breed Standard Education – Jean Pero, Chair; Judy Cooper and Whitney Coombs, Vice Chairs *Breeders Education – Judy moved to have Mentor and Breeders Education as separate committees. Motion passed. Website Committee – As a result of a meeting requested by Karen Reiter, the Website Committee was created as a temporary committee to develop a new website. Options for developing the website will be researched and reported back to the BOD. Karen Reiter and Bret Zacher will co-chair. Negative Storage – In regards to the original negatives for the Illustrated Standard, Christine Palmer-Persen offered to find out if the negatives can be digitized where they are currently being stored; if the whole file can be digitized and what the cost would be. The current storage arrangement terminates 6/08. Budget – Judy Brown moved to approve the '08-'09 budget. Motion passed unanimously. Christine requested that the books be audited after 6/30/08. Tami suggested GPCA exchange auditing services with another club. Unfinished Business Database Manager – The new board members were informed that the contract will be reviewed by June 30th . New Business A letter was read from Denise Vallauri Bennett, NH. Discussion was tabled for further investigation. National Specialty Review Committee – As a result of a meeting with Barbara Berkesch, Judy Cooper and Karla Smith, regarding cost recommendations for host club of a national specialty, this new committee was formed. Tami Green will chair, members include Judy Cooper, Karla Smith, Barb Berkesch and Bret Zacher. Champions for Health – Flo Laicher stated the subcommittee would like to change the process to submitting owners' names rather than dogs' names to the Board of Directors. Also requested, is adding a line for “total number of offspring”. Flo supports these changes. Judy moved that we approve the recommended Champion for Health program policy as presented. Motion passed. Ways and Means – It was discussed that receipts need to be submitted, committee procedures be changed, and the committee not carry a large inventory. GPCA Policies and Guidelines – Bret Zacher agreed to work on updating current policies and guidelines to electronic format. Email Voting – Bret moved that we conduct voting by email, in accordance with Bylaws, Article II, sect. 4. Small Board Rules – voted to adopt, giving President the option of voting. Meeting Adjourned – 7:35 P.M.
