American Brittany Rescue (ABR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was formed in 1991. ABR currently has over 400 volunteers all over the US who take in abandoned, surrendered or stray Brittanys, assure their health and temperament and then find new homes for them. They are proud to count many ABC members in their volunteer group. NationalBrittany Rescue and Adoption Network (NBRAN) is a network of independent, regional rescue entities across the US who cooperatively support one another and have joined together to support a website and fundraising activities. NBRAN seeks to build cooperation and collaboration with other rescue groups. Independent Brittany Rescue & Rehabilitation (IBRR) is a private rescue for the rehabilitation and homing of stray, shelter, owner turned in, abandoned Brittanys. We don't just house dogs until someone comes along who wants them. The dogs are worked with extensively so that they are complimentary companions. All are totally vetted, microchipped, house trained, crate trained, socialized with people and dogs, evaluated, trained and/or given behavior modification before being made available for adoption. Homes are matched so that the dog and new family will be happy and forever.
