have been a lot of changes going on over the month of Oct. We had to
change the dates so please make note of this new information. The
National will be Fri Oct 22, 2010 in Lincoln NE. We
will still be at the
Event Center, but things did not come together as I had hoped, so we
will be back and forth between the Event Center and the Hotel for all of
our meetings and Banquet. With so many changes happening with changing
dates, some of this information could change slightly over the next
couple months. But most of this will stay as I write it today.
Wed Oct 20 will be the arrival date. We will
have hospitality set up at the Host Hotel (This is a new Hotel from
the original information) Our Host Hotel is the
Staybridge Suites at 2710 Fletcher Ave in Lincoln NE. You can make
reservation today by calling 402 438 7829. Please ask for the American
Manchester Terrier Club. All rooms are suites with full amenities.
The 1 and 2 bedrooms, are just that, a separate room for the bedroom.
Every room has a full kitchen, stove, frig, dishwasher, microwave and
dishware in the cupboards. You can check out the Hotel on there web site
at
www.staybridge.com/lincolni-80 I am very excited about this
Hotel, it is VERY nice. They have big grassy areas to walk the dogs and
a designated area for x-pens. This is what you have to choose from for
rooms. Note: the Hotel has a $25 non-refundable deposit on rooms
with pets.

On Wed evening we will have the judges seminar at the Host Hotel.
On Thursday Oct 21 there will be an all breed show at the Event Center, this will be a Dist Spec or a supported entry (to be decided soon) I don't think there will be agility or obed on Thur. But that to will be decided soon. At this time we have most of our judges hired, but haven't decided who will judge which day. Thursday evening we will have our general meeting at the Host Hotel.
On Friday Oct 22 we will have an Independent National Specialty. Our judge will be Mildred Bryant. It will be at the Event Center along side the all breed show. We will be able to choose a Best of Breed with this being an independent, but will not be able to go to group. At this point it looks like the Obed club will be having Obed and Rally on Fri and at least Excellent agility. (This is one of the things I will have to let you know later for sure, the Obed club is having more problems than the all breed club had with change of dates) If GLOC does not do Obed and Rally, then I will have an Obed and Rally trial for Manchester's.
On Fri evening we will have our Banquet and awards dinner at the Event Center. The Chef they have is a wonderful. It will be a 3 meat buffet.
On Saturday Oct 23 there will be a Dist (4 or 5) Specialty. Again I will have to let you know who the judge will be. There will be Obed, Rally and agility (I hope).
Sat evening is a free night, at this point the Stickney's are planning a get-together at their home as they did in 2006. I think that everyone that attended in 2006 had a great time.
Sunday Oct 24 there will be a Dist (4 or 5) Specialty or a supported entry. The judge to be announced later.
So as you can see, we will have 4 days of shows. Platte Valley Kennel Club has joined Cornhusker Kennel Club to form the Husker Valley Cluster. Greater Lincoln Obed Club is still working out a lot of details from the change of dates, so Obed info will be updated on the web site when I get it.
