Don't miss the opportunity to bid on these outstanding works of art.  They will be auctioned on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Art Auction and Buffet Dinner. If you can't be there in person, you can bid by proxy following the process below:

Here are the details for how an Afghan Fancier who is not attending the National in Frankenmuth can bid via proxy.

They submit their starting bid to auctioneer Darlyn Pfeiffer, and their maximum bid on any item.

Darlyn will open the bidding at the live Auction, continue bidding for each Proxy Bidder until the Proxy Bidder's amount is exhausted or the bidding ends, which ever comes first.  The Proxy Bidder must e-mail his/her bid to Darlyn at werauctions@charter.net in the following format: Name-Phone-Item Description-Starting Bid-Max Bid  (see sample below).  Winning Bidders will be contacted by phone. Credit cards will be accepted.

Bids will be accepted via e-mail until Friday, September 19th at 12:00 noon.   After that you must phone a friend to bid for you.

Here is an example:

Oil Painting starts live at $100.00, the max bid from the Proxy Bidder is $2,500.00.

Bidding stops at $1,250.00 - so the proxy bidder gets the Painting at $1,250.00, even though he would have bid up to $2,500.00.

The Proxy Bidder will be responsible for the cost of shipping or making arrangements to have item transported with an exhibitor

from their area.

So don't loose out,  just because you could not be at the National!
