(followed on October 4, with an AKC Lure Coursing Test and Trial at same location, sponsored by Tulsa Sighthound Association)
 
October 17, 2009, AFGHAN HOUND SPECIALTY SHOW at Bell County Expo Center - Judge Lila Wadsworth
(This evening specialty will be following an all-breed show at the same location - Afghan Judge Monica Henderson Stoner,
followed on October 18 by another all-breed show at the same location - Afghan judge Carol Esterkin)
 
December 5, 6, 2009 - Co-sponsor of AKC NATIONAL LURE COURSING CHAMPIONSHIPS at Double-H Ranch

 Afghan Hound Club of Greater Houston, Inc.

Our club meets the 4th Thursday of every odd numbered month.  The location changes from meeting to meeting, but anyone interested in learning about Afghan Hounds or the club should contact the Corresponding Secretary Mary Radspinner at spinnerml@sbcglobal.net  to verify the meeting time and location.  These are dinner meetings scheduled for 7:30 PM dinner , meeting at 8:00 PM.  We offer two days of AKC and ASFA lure field trials in late December each year.

We usually have rescue dogs available for adoption or in various stages to get them ready for adoption.  These are updated at our website www.houstonafghanhound.net on a regular basis.
