2003 National Specialty

The 2003 ABA National Specialty will be held in Portland, Oregon from September 16, 2003 to September 20, 2003.

The 2003 National Specialty will be held in the CITY OF ROSES, Portland, Oregon from 9/16/03 to 9/20/03 at the Doubletree Jantzen Beach.

This hotel has been the site of the Springer Spaniel Nationals, Belgian Tervuren Nationals, Siberian Husky Nationals and Bulldog Nationals. It has an 18,000 square foot ballroom with an enormous foyer. The hotel is very dog friendly and is located on the beautiful Columbia River. Look for more info as we get a bit closer.

Reservations:
Reservations will be made by individual fax or mailed reservation forms, which the hotel will provide. Reservations will be made for no more than 2 rooms per guest name. Prepayment for first and last night's room and tax is required via credit card or advance payment. Pre-payment is Non refundable if reservations are cancelled or revised with less than 15 days notice to the hotel. One night's room and tax will be charged for all reservations cancelled less than 30 days in advance of arrival.

Pet Fees:
There will be a one time $35.00 non-refundable fee, per stay for any person staying in hotel rooms with pets. Guests with pets will be advised of the fee when making reservations.

Dog Bathing:
A grooming area will be provided outside the Grand Ballroom. Dogs must not be bathed in the guestrooms. The hotel will provide no towels for the grooming area. Special arrangements can be made for non-guestroom materials to be used for dog Bathing.

Guest Rooms:
All unattended dogs must be crated. Plastic sheeting must be under crates.

RV Parking:
The hotel has limited parking and no hook-up for Recreational Vehicles. We will provide up to 15 spaces at no charge. Per Portland City Ordinance, no persons are allowed to sleep over or cook in their RV's. RV's must be parked 75' from the hotel structure.
