The results of our first health survey are discussed. Sue Martin, survey coordinator, presents statistics on litters, longevity, reproduction and fertility, diet, etc. Dr. George Padgett of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine puts the health survey into perspective in terms of frequency of carriers for the various diseases reported. He then talks about using this information in your breeding program to lessen the chance of carrying on an undesirable trait.
